Aimlessly surfing earlier and my Youtube page had a list of suggested videos and one hour later I had watched far too many advertising breaks from RTE 21 years ago!  Insert gendered gaze lens.

This was the first one I viewed and I’m still trying to figure out the reasoning for the flower in the Anadin ad!  Painkillers and diet yogurts and car ads were the recurring themes - and germs and dramatic music as one was sold the latest product to get rid of them and thus be a good mother.  (Little has changed there then!)

3Castle has quiet a few late 80’s RTE ad breaks on his channel. I maybe back later with more plundered treasures!
