Unlike Liz, my concern is it demonstrates how sexual stigma persists and no amount of policies will change culture. This is a good slap in the face with a wet fish to media types who think sexual innuendo is journalism... IMO the Sindo is like the margarine of tabloids, tries gossip/scandal but the taste of it means you want real butter instead ... can we just not say some boys in uniform are hot and be done with it? Fair play to them. I'm impressed by the whole tone of the letter which gives the message that AGS is living and working for a modern Ireland which has no space for discrimination. I will of course always have my doubts about some aspects of the institution, but delighted to read this rebuttal.
