		<description>I don&#039;t think journalists should determine sexual morality in the same way I don&#039;t think the Catholic Church should make hay about the issue. But the gossip raises a wider and more interesting point. 

If we&#039;re a modern liberal country [yah dee yah dee yah], why is a supposedly gay public representative in the closet about his (assuming its a bloke) sexual orientation? I think the impact is not so much about voting records, but I would have thought it is about visibility.The question for me is why (assuming someone is gay) does that someone feel disclosure is problematic.</description>
