That law was enacted back in 2004, the year I got engaged. Because of the uselessness of the Registrar's Office, my plan of getting married in a hotel couldn't happen (3 years later and they still hadn't put the procedures in place to be able to apply the law). With 6 months to go before the wedding I had to change all my plans and basically lie to get us married in a registry office... I wouldn't be holding your breath for anything soon... And if that’s anything to go by, it will be at leat 3 years before they put anything in place for homosexual couples.
