[...] I’ve had the mobility scooter for about 4 months now. Years of being disabled suddenly made very visible overnight by 4 wheels and a seat. The walking stick I have used for over 10 years only was temporary to the able bodied. I’m loving my mobility, haven’t killed anyone yet and the punctures are a thing of the past as I got hard tyres on and am coping with the sore neck and back as a result but it’ll get better. It is quicker for humans on two feet to move aside rather than me but I’m very polite and stop and wait and say it’s ok all the time when actually the eejits who look ahead but not down and who think that they own the footpath could’ve moved to the side and let me past. I have a name which I'll announce tomorrow - it might be double barrelled in fact!

And I am thinking bumper stickers!

It's red - I've had it since Tuesday and I'm still alive!

Sean R,

i'm sorry but I don't think that the "Healp, heeeaaalp" of Penelope quite suits Ms. Poulet.

given the "cup of lesbian tea" nod and the P'wagon suggestions, can I suggest the CLT Wagon. Or maybe "the tea cup" as the title.

(Does anyone have a "caffine powered" bumper sticker anywhere)?

But given the blog title.... "Clucky"

By the way... is it red?

Would 'The Popemobile' not be a perfect name for ya?

My first bicycle to be named by me (of adulthood obviously - kids are boring; they don't name bicycles) I called 'Grace' because I liked the idea of riding with grace together with the constant pressure of worrying if I shuold fall from grace.

Yah, I want that one! Verily I say unto thee MP, the name of your pussy mobile, should be ...

Penelope...

Firstly, in Greek mythology, Penelope was a woman who seemed to have spend a lot of time waiting and was constrained by the norms of a society, and in your time, I'm thinking of hospitals, welfare, etc. until better times came along. Link below:
http://www.in2greece.com/english/historymyth/mythology/names/penelope.htm

The thought of you speeding about Dublin, like a dyke on a bike, made me also think about Penelope Pitstop and how she had to escape from the hooded claw [u know who I'm thinking of there!] ... I also loved Penelope on Wacky Races. Link for those of you who aren't 40-something and pesently watch the shite on TV that passes for kids entertainment:

Thirdly, while I'm sure the pussy wagon has its merits, (tres holtonian, no?) it might not be quite "done" in polite (workplace) company to say "oh yes... I brought the pussy wagon today... ". You could quite easily introduce "Penelope" tho and engage people about why you have a Pussy Wagon. [Its also too much like something Mr. Pussy might drive, tho' don't get me started about the LLS interview with him.]

Perhaps Penelope might like to have an alter-ego on the weekend?

I already realise how hopeless a lesbian I'd make, but here goes: Suzy's Tickler, Maman's Metal, or even Ladybug [a device for ladies who want to stimulate their girly bit, but I guess Penelope could do that too!]

And we're done ;>
