While I know diddly-squat about disability per se, there seems to be parallels with promises, plans, etc. about many social issues made by this chronic govt, e.g. civil unions. There's a clear disjuncture between 'managing' economic success [and I try not to laugh at that...] and the absolute inability to address social issues.
