Theyve new posters for a candidate around UCD. Infact theres a big red banner goin across his face nearly saying “NEW CANDIDATE”. His name nowhere to be seen. Then a big essay on the bottom half saying

“Hes a fresh new candidate. And thats what we think; its time for a new different approach to the old politics”

Is it insulting to our intelligence that theyre so blatantly copying the Obama thing, or is it only right they copy something so wildly succesful? Either way it has the touch of ireland about it. Cringe inducing amateurism. Fine Gael hasnt changed at all

Totally agree with Brendan! Hate this attempt to modernise the party, why fix something when it aint broken is my motto! i know of several candidates that have printed their election leaflets already, will they be expected to reprint???

I think that it is disastrous to be quite frank. What the hell are they thinking. A symbol has to be stark and has to be able to stand on its own. This s just some poor rehash of the SDLP thing. I would seriously advise them to rethink. The current one is much better by far me thinks…

That’s bizarre. Looks like some kind of homage to the old RTE St.Brigid’s cross logo or something? Looking forward to the new website offering, wonder are the lovely people at http://www.exsite.ie (who seem to take care of a lot of candidate sites) going to be offering it up?
