Hi Suzie I hadn't noticed these blog entries on miCandidate before but I certainly received plenty of phone calls from them. It seemed a lot of cash for what I was already doing in abundance for free but the only benefit was the syndication idea (and of course the fear factor that all my opponents would be on it and I wouldn't - of course none of them were as it turns out). Anyway I declined politely and then more forcefully until one day out of the blue I got a final call with a seriously knock down offer. I forget the specifics but it was a lot less than even the discounted fee mentioned in your post. It was too good to refuse! Have to say it wasn't all bad, I put up a few articles and pics and I know it was linked from some local papers. One guy I canvassed even told me I had the best miCandidate profile within my electoral area! He'd been checking out the candidates online and found the site. A big downside was there was no linkup for people already blogging like me I would have liked a direct syndication system. Was OK for half nothing but would never have paid the exorbitant fees they were initially seeking. PS I hope I got mentioned in your candidate/web roundup! James
