I can't believe how much stick she took over scribbled notes, when Obama can't pick his nose without a teleprompter.
So the answer is no - I am far more scared of Obama.

It would have been difficult to imagine a prospective presidential candidate more shallow than George Bush until Palin showed up. What's scary is the people who'll be backing and running her.
BTW there's a piece online today on how Hilary Clinton will ditch Obama and claim her place as the next Democratic presidential candidate. NYT has it I think.

Scared? Not really. We've had Obama's 'carteresque' presidency for over a year...but it could be an exciting race in 2012.

Way back when McCain was picking a running mate I did predict Sarah Palin [on your blog? politics.ie?] Pictured besides McCain, she offered a youthfulness, etc., and, while he tried to exploit that, he was sadly misinformed about her political savvy. That the VP nominee's status helped the GOP to lose when it was coupled with McCain's indecisiveness seems to be something the Dems could exploit.

The far right of the GOP and the teabaggers are now pushing her as a potential candidate, which is worrysome as she claims that she's "more knowledgeable" than at the time of the 2008 election... um... so is a five year old in nursery school! Personally, I think she will trip up... one thing she cannot hide is the release of records over the birth of her last son (which is really bizarre.) And then there's Levi J... waiting to spill his very pretty guts!

Obama's fundamental mistake was to forget Carville's maxim that it is "the economy, stupid". Swanning around collecting the Nobel prize, makes no-drama Obama seem detached. If he doesn't get on with fixing things and the Dems lose confidence in him, I think you may see Hillary quit the State Dept and run against him. Likewise, if he doesn't take aim at Palin, she will get as far as being a GOP candidate (tho' Mike Huckabee is likely to get the nod as he can do "moderate" GOP speak more than Palin when he has to.)
