From the Fianna Fáil Deputy’s blog on Thursday

I think I have managed to get a couple os [sic] shovels of spare grit for the entrances to my estate. Witha thousand houses, it’s no joke if you cannot brake until you are halfway across a main road. Hopefully I’ll get the grit tonight. The council have now decided to grit all the way to harry’s shop which is an improvement but we’re still lacking.

Maybe he could ask his party colleague and near neighbour Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey to bring some home from his holidays.
