Enda’s been deactivated

Given the level of criticism that Enda received for not appearing at the TV3debate on the Fine Fael Facebook Fan page (much of which dissappeared!) it’s no surprise they give Enda’s page a rest.

Psst to James and Jim I know what you are going to say and I’m not anti FG – I’m anti bad online engagement.  Thought I’d save you the trouble!

(I’m not the James/Jim referred to above btw) I think you’re being overly harsh here. Clearly Enda Kenny’s facebook profile is tightly coupled to and representative of his profile in real life; far more people ‘like’ him when hidden away from public view :)

Did you ask FG/Enda why his profile was off line for a period of time or are you just assuming it was taken off by FG/Enda. A bit of research, rather than spoofing would be appreciated.

Gill lots of people have asked and there has been no reply of yet. I’ve also emailed FG about other matters and received no reply. If they wish to comment they are more than welcome to leave comments on my blog or indeed to email a statement to me. Unlike some I don’t delete critical commentary.

That’s interesting about FG lack of email responses to you – I emailed Simon Coveny last week about FG’s transport policies and never got a reply.

Don’t they realise the importance of such new fangled ways of communication when canvessing?!

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

This might explain why Enda’s facebook profile was taken down:

Just to be clear, this defacement isn’t down to hacking or compromised accounts – it’s a simple facebook prank that I’ve played myself on a friend.

(Basically you take advantage of the the fact that facebook displays the last five images you are tagged in on your homepage, create 5 images that spell out a message, then tag them with the person you want to prank)

(I didn’t take this screengrab myself so it could be fake.)
