Fine Gael Ard Fheis 2009

April 3rd, 2009 · 3 Comments · Elections, Irish Politics

The final party to host their annual conference this season is Fine Gael.   The Ard Fheis is being held in City West this weekend and a number of bloggers have been accredited to attend including members of the party who blog.

The event is being live streamed on the Fine Gael Website and bloggers have been informed that interviews will also be hosted on the site

A live blog has been organised by Simon McGarr on Liveblog.ie.  As per the other conferences you can read the blog on Scribble Live.  Twitters will be integrated into the liveblog along with links to videos and other content.  The tag for the event is #fgaf.

It’s difficult to find other information online about the Ard Fheis and the Clár is not available online. I’ve uploaded a copy here and if I find that the party unveils a special conference website with information overnight I’ll link to it also!

(BTW – At the beginning of last month Steph met Enda Kenny while he was out canvassing with Senator Paschal Donohue and Enda promised a new site within two weeks.  No sign yet – maybe this weekend?)

All the FG councillors, local election candidates, TD’s senators and MEP candidates who are known to be on Twitter or blogging have been contacted to let them know about the online coverage and invite them to take part.

So apart from the new logo, what else will Fine Gael members and bloggers and readers be looking out for this weekend?

I note the internet’s Daniel Sullivan is running for a Fine Gael Executive Council seat representing Dublin.
