‘My Constituency, My Party, My Country, My First Campaign Video’

April 12th, 2009 · 8 Comments · Blogging, Elections, Irish Politics, Social Media

Everywhere you look these days he’s there (except for that Late Late Show).

Last weekend he sprinted for the podium in a bid to raise Enda Kenny’s hand aloft at the end of the Ard Fheis speech.  On Good Friday he was representing FG on the Six-One News.  Now Senator Paschal Donohue adds to his blogging and twittering talents with  a video blog for the bye-election campaign in Dublin Central. (Yes Paschal spells bye-election with an extra e – it’s allowed seemingly!)

A lot of focus on the Phibsboro/Cabra end of the constituency and a bit of use of the royal ‘my’. The former estate agents office he rents provides all those handy display panels for the leaflets and a story to tell itself as a sign of recession. I hope the rest of his party are watching and we’ll see more of this from campaigns around the country. I also get the feeling Paschal writes his own blogs and twitters unlike another candidate who ran for the podium at the end of Enda’s speech last week!
