Note – please see this post for the latest on this matter.
I won’t comment on the case as someone is now facing charges but as for the coverage – well some of the Irish print media spent the last few days libeling the dead. I do hope that a lot of time is spent making sure that more people are aware about the absolute rubbish that has been spread about a dead mother. The lack of interest initially until there was scurrilous rubbish to spread was also very telling.
Maybe I can come back to it when the case is done. I hope I don’t have to and that others are able to take action.
i absolutly could not agree more …the rubbish that was printed was degracefull and must have put the poor partner and family through unnessery hell . Knowing the family personally i know what suffering this caused and know that action will be taken and the sooner the better . we all hope justice is done and the scumbag delt with to the full strength of the irish justice system . SHARON MAY U REST IN PEACE

R.I.P Sharon
Its your kids and family that has to deal with the aftermath of this terrible crime that has happened in our town.
The small minded people that spread silly rumours and spoke to the reporters probably never spoke to you in their lives because if they did they would have known you better.
I hope you find peace.
R.I.P
I would just like to say that since I had the great pleasure of knowing Sharon I would like to see the Irish Daily Mail apoligise to Sharon’s family and her boyfriend for the rediculous story they printed stating she was having an affir with the married man aressted at the time. Her family have a hard enough time ahead of them, with the trail coming up and I would just like to say i’m thinking about them. We miss you Sharon and you will remain forever in our hearts x x x x x x x x x x x
