The dry Ard Fheis

January 21st, 2012 · 2 Comments · Irish Politics

Update: It seems this may well be a cruel joke that is being played on some members of Fianna Fáil. Some who may have to buy me a pint as I await final verification. Take with strong pinch of salt – it is a great chance to replay the David Davin Power zombie video though [...]

February 7th, 2011 · 5 Comments · Elections, General Election 2011, Irish Politics

Reports of FF canvassing throughout the country are patchy – I’ve been asking about the engagement from my twitter followers and it seems there are a lot of drop cards and run attempts but few FF door knockers. That is an unscientific survey of course but I thought this document could help you prepare when [...]

FFNua

November 18th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Irish Politics

Not that I think many are interested in the future of Fianna Fáil at the moment but a few weeks ago I heard about the meeting of FF activists interested in rebuilding the party.  Led by Jerry Beades, a member of the FF National Executive, it was disclosed on RTE yesterday that they intend to [...]

We have ways of making you vote

November 15th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Elections, Irish Politics

I mentioned the posters and ‘the eyes’ earlier today and promised further evidence.   Thanks to Joe today who snapped these on his phone. I wasn’t making it up was I?  Someone said that it’s  like he wants to hypnotise you into voting for him – well he should sack the photoshopper anyway for starters.

You got know when to hold them

November 9th, 2010 · No Comments · Irish Politics

Not content with trying to appease the people betting on Irish bonds, it seems our politicians are trying betting of another kind in order to raise funds. The Friends of James Carroll, the former student union head turned appointed Senator (FF) from Louth are holding a event in a few weeks. Know of a tupperware [...]
