Good Afternoon from Cork where despite the best efforts of some still slightly mysterious illness that has me out of work and going slowly doolally, I’ve made it to Cork International Airport Hotel – the most original, coolest, kitchest hotel in Cork Ireland.
I’ve also heard that I’ve joined 19 others in a feature in this mornings Irish Times on the 20 essential blogs in Ireland. Many thanks to Shane for this inclusion – its all getting very oscar like
If you are at the blog awards tonight please come up and say hello – please don’t take offence if I don’t recognise you or remember you – brain fog moments aplenty at moment.
Thanks to Damien for the whole shebang – it’s the highlight of the year for many of us and I’m delighted I was able to make it.

And no I don’t know who’s in the Golden Circle and I don’t really care
It’s that non hysterical anger don’t you know

Good luck to you! , cant be there today myself :-[
Well done on the nomination, and the recognition by the I/Times, a good night out will help the health issue too… speaking as one who was brought by ambo to Blanch hosp on Wed night/Thur am, a change of scene is good!
Am also liking your ‘shared item’ about Vera Lynn taking on the BNP… having some Branglina imagery of the old bird taking out the bnp with kung-fu… maybe it’s just too much valium in my tea today, but it did make me smile and hum the White Cliffs of Dover!
Have a great night out, and good luck with the awards… jasus, if you did know the elfs in the golden circle, you could out them during your acceptance speech … can see the headlines… “Govt brought down by Blogger” … it could happen, I’m just saying ;> [Yep too much Valium...]
Mind yourself Sean! The Vera Lynn piece is great isn’t it.
PS I was thinking of including Michael Lynn’s location and where he’s stashed his cash if I had to make any speeches tonight – but if anyone wanted me to tell everyone what Enda Kenny won’t re the minister facilitator sure I’d be only delighted to.
Well done on the win Suzy!
Just heard the great news well done
Great news, congrats on a well deserved win.
