I had a restful weekend but it seems the Burkes in Mayo – you remember them – the Campaign for Concience family of 10 with biblical names – were very busy indeed.

On Saturday they registered http://www.davidnorris4president.com. It is presented as a positive site but a quick glance and a few clicks later it’s full of rubbish about homosexuality, HIV/AIDS and promiscuity. (I’m not linking to it directly – no need to feed their stats!)

There are also references to previous interviews David has given with no exact quotes and a dig at his birthplace in Congo.

Helpfully the website notes that

I’m sure there is more to come and that Senator Norris has his lawyers about. The possible candidacy is now being covered internationally on gay blogs in the USA and in The Guardian.
