Even though some of my readers protest , more on the US Election and what Hilary did to solve ‘The Troubles’. It has been rumbling on all week and Hilary herself has launched further defences.
Speaking in New York last night Bill Clinton defended the role of his wife in the peace process Bill told the audience that Hillary did not just pour the tea, she made history.
President Clinton last night told Irish American’s in New York he’s been “truely amused” this week as Barack Obama made out “Hillary had simply poured the tea” as the peace process was being crafted.
President Clinton pointed to Hillary’s rush from the campaign trail to meet the Chuckle Brothers on their recent tour of the US as evidnce of the respect in which she is held.

Toby Harnden gives us more of his views on Hillary O’Clinton in the Telegraph blog and rounds up some more links on the issue.
I remember how Hillary made several visits to Northern Ireland as First Lady, meeting women/ women’s groups there and playing a low-key role that (IMO) was totally appropriate for her position. Prior to, and since becoming a Senator, she has made Northern Ireland a key issue, and has visited on a number of occasions and has called on the ROI government too.
Obama is just full of it, and totally sexist. So, he might enlighten us with tales of his “serious input” into the ongoing strife in his father’s homeland (Kenya) … oh wait he did sweet fuck all… he didn’t call on Secretary Rice to get off her ass, or mention the place, or show any leadership by visiting the place … all left up to the expertise of Kofi Annan. Oh but this is just words too. Does Obama have any policies yet, wake me when he does.
Bill: I’m glad you’re amused and not too offended by these tossers. Personally, I’d want to smack them because they’re sexist pigs.
