Bill Clinton defend’s Hillary’s role in Northern Ireland Peace Process

March 14th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Newstalk, Uncategorized, US Election 2008

Even though some of my readers protest , more on the US Election and what Hilary did to solve ‘The Troubles’. It has been rumbling on all week and Hilary herself has launched further defences.

Speaking in New York last night Bill Clinton defended the role of his wife in the peace process Bill told the audience that Hillary did not just pour the tea, she made history.

President Clinton last night told Irish American’s in New York he’s been “truely amused” this week as Barack Obama made out “Hillary had simply poured the tea” as the peace process was being crafted.

President Clinton pointed to Hillary’s rush from the campaign trail to meet the Chuckle Brothers on their recent tour of the US as evidnce of the respect in which she is held.

Audio of his comments was exclusive to Newstalk 106 this morning and I have the clip here.
