I have to wonder if the free enough ride that Obama has gotten in the past few months could be linked to the writers strike in any way?? Bit late now for Hilary that they are all back, and she has Bill to blame also for her woes.

That Brenda Power thing is going to run out of steam soon, not for her want of trying, but because they’ve cottoned on they can just hang up on her. I heard someone from the FF press office simply say he wasn’t going to talk to her and hung up. My taxes, his wages etc. etc.
well Pat Carey refused to speak to a Newstalk reporter today during a ‘doorstep’ on drugs policy- it was very weird to hear him say he would not be speaking to her and she ‘knew why’.
Yeah I heard that as well. Heaven forbid an elected representative would feel the need to account for his or herself. We’ve entered the age of the silent politician: if they don’t like the question, they blank it (ala Bertie’s 30 second mute gaze during the summer) and if they don’t like an answer, they just hold another referendum.
