Happy New Year and Blogging the Election

Well It’s been quiet at Maman Poulet the last few weeks as I’ve travelled around abit doing festive things and today started a new job which due to the nature of the work involved I won’t be blogging about!

Mulley is doing his usual 500 things at the one time and the blog awards date of March 3rd is in my diary. Sponsorship is going well for the event too.
There have been some interesting things happening outside of Ireland in blogland including Scoble and other bloggers attending the launch of John Edwards’ campaign for the US Presidency in 2008. Which reminds me that I am getting a list together of bloggers who wish to attend press launches and events in the next Irish General Election.

If you are interested let me know – a follow up of the Blogging the Election conference is working with political parties here at facilitating blogger access to the forthcoming General Election campaign. Some people will be doing their own thing but others are interested in blogging events and campaigning under the Irishelection.com banner. Either reply in the comments here or email me @ suzybie(at) gmail.com and I’ll fill you in on the rest of the details.

Less than six months to go folks and John Deasy is launching his Fine Gael Leadership campaign already…

Update: Scoble’s interview with Edwards which was filmed last week is now online. They talk blogging and campaigns amongst other issues.
