Thats really interested. What I’d really like to see a study on is why butch-identified women in lesbian bars are particularly prone to staring at strangers! (Anybody remember JJ Smiths?) A friend of mine and her partner went into a lesbian night in a gay bar in Belfast last year and recollect the experience as “it was like two aliens had just walked into the bar.” I’ve noticed it a lot in a particular bar in Cork on particular nights too. and noticed that it coincides with non-verbal communication – the person stared at is never spoken to, there is no opening of communication. Interesting.
Might want to fix the html. No image shown.
thanks Simon.
