Well it was a fairly uneventful (read boring) Questions and Answers tonight. Except for Nell McCafferty doing exasperation and her own unique version of financial analysis. Myself and Eidin live blogged it.

Loved reading this. You are much better (funnier, more insightful etc) than politics.ie. I watched Q & A last night and nearly fell asleep. Thought everybody was dreadful except for the economist. At least he was perky. Did Nell have a few drinks before the show? Woke up in time to hear Bruton’s ball-dropping remark. Now that was funny.

no drinks for me. it was wall street – and irish banks – that got drunk, as bush said. hedge funders and short sellers were bent on bringing entire iseq down. irish govt sobered up through the night, hence 100 per cent bail out. (It’s a bit like the abortion debates in 1981. all you have to do is read up on it. great fun.) of course, i am from barcelona and know nothing. just like everyb0dy else. at least sarah palin can shoot the moose and put food on the table. the men last night couldn’t snare a rabbit. love, nell
