As the axis of power this week allegedly moved up the road from Government Buildings to the Department of Finance (maybe that’s what the party was about!) Gavin from Gavin’s Blog and diligently and excellently all things Mahon Tribunal drew my attention to this.

Ah our own Yes we can – it’s called Did I say that? - and it’s a good one. Dermod Carmody, Joe Taylor and others appear to be involved! More please!
Bertie is inspring many to make a song (and dance)

Hi, and thanks for the mention on your blog; just a bit of background. DID I SAY THAT? is the concept of Morgan C.Jones (thats me) I perform the first thursday of each month with Dermot Carmody at Slattery’s in Rathmines (AT LAST THE 1989 SHOW). While I happily do not claim to have written any of the genuine Bertie guff in the song, I put it together, sang the main vocal, and produced the track which was recorded and engineered by Gentleman Mark Duff at The Base, Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin. The others involved directly were Joe Taylor (on Electric Liar); Karen Ardiff (backing vocals); Emer and Mark at The Base, Dublin; Dee Molloy (gestures); Eimear O’Grady; Conor Lambert; Dermot Magennis; Steve Wall; and my bandmate Dermot Carmody. Once upon a way back when I used to write and perform satirical sketches on Nighthawks but have found over the years since that RTE run scared of anything with teeth, but now thanks to the internet, I find an outlet for my home produced/shot/edited sketches so, watch this space because the bastards have been getting away without ridicule for too long. Cheers
