Anyone seen Lucinda Creighton TD?

Lucinda Creighton was due to speak on the Civil Partnership Bill this evening but when the Ceann Comhairle called her name the Deputy for Dublin South East was nowhere to be found.

Wondering if the discussions in Fine Gael about the florist cop out amendment are getting a bit too much for her? I’m sure she’ll be back in the new year for the continuation of the debate with her friends in the Iona Institute propping her up. (Lucinda doesn’t really like the bill and wants some sort of protection for those who don’t like gays much either.)

She was there for the vote on the previous bill…
Err, away with the fairies?
Its a bit nonsensical. The existing “equality” laws do permit religious organisations to refuse goods or services to people outside their remit and its not just about LGBT folk either. But the worrying thing about this was that it permitted anybody or any non-religious organization to discriminate and that is far more dangerous. Would somebody allow a taxi driver to refuse to drive a muslim woman somewhere because she is wearing a veil? I should hope not.
Perhaps she is leading by example and taking her 12 unpaid days off to inspire the rest of the public sector
Unless I misread the debates incorrectly, the fact that she was called and absent is not recorded. I notice no FF backbencher spoke last night although two Greens did.
What is Creighton at? First of all she has fallen out with Enda-No ministerial position for you now!
But with this florist cop out amendment does she:
a. Know this is a STATE bill nothing to do with the Church or religion
b. If this amendment is discussed what’s to stop a no Muslims please (or anything of down with that sort of thing nature)
c. Has Creighton forgotten what constituency she represents or the fact she has to be elected again? A relatively middle class area littered with the gays who don’t suffer from memory loss syndrome-Have fun canvassing them Creighton.
and she busy spreading the blame for the child abusing priests and the cover up so wide in the hope no-one gets punished, which is what this phrase means “Lucinda Creighton said “Irish society as a whole colluded to cover up these scandals”
